1. How do I import comics?
Tap Import comics in the library and pick one or more files in Files, or choose a whole folder. You can also use Share or Open in LumiComic from another app. The first release supports ZIP/CBZ, RAR/CBR, image folders and fixed-layout comic EPUB. Importing keeps a copy inside the app; your original files are never changed.
2. Series, volumes or chapters are in the wrong order
The app reads volumes and chapters from folder and file names, including Chinese numerals, full-width digits, Vol.3 and Ch.12, and puts extras last. If the order is still wrong, send us a screenshot of the folder structure or file names; there is no need to send the comics.
3. Reading direction, two-page spreads and webtoons
Tap the middle of the screen while reading to open the menu, where you can switch between left-to-right and right-to-left, and between paging and vertical scrolling. In right-to-left books, tapping the left side goes forward. In landscape on iPad, pages are shown side by side; if they pair up one page off, use Offset by one page in the menu. When the app detects long strips it offers vertical scrolling. Settings are remembered per book.
4. File or folder names look garbled
The app detects archive file names encoded in GBK, Big5 and Shift_JIS. If names still look garbled, tell us which tool and system created the archive and include a screenshot.
5. A file will not open or a page is missing
The first release does not open encrypted or multi-volume archives or DRM-protected files, and tells you when it meets one. A damaged page shows This page can't be displayed, and you can keep reading the rest. If a whole book will not open, tell us its format and size.
6. The app takes up too much space
Imported comics are kept as a copy inside the app. In Settings, storage management shows space used per series, lets you delete in bulk and clears the thumbnail cache. Deleting only removes the in-app copy, never your original files.
7. Restore progress on a new device or after reinstalling
Export a light backup on the old device (library records, reading positions, bookmarks and settings only), import it on the new device, then import your original comic files again. The app matches progress and bookmarks by file content, even if files were renamed.
8. Pro, Restore Purchases and refunds
Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. On a new device or after reinstalling, tap Restore Purchases in Settings. Pro supports Family Sharing. To request a refund, use Apple's refund page; the developer cannot process payments directly.
9. Contact us
Email liaozhiliang222@gmail.com with your device model, iOS version, app version and what happened, ideally with a screenshot. Please do not attach copyrighted comic files. We will reply as soon as we can.
